EXPERIENCE LIFE IN 1861
DUBBO'S
OWN FILM SET
"Oxley Downs" is located on the Dubbo - Yeoval Road
and many visitors to the Western Plains Zoo call here on their way
back to Sydney or on their way to Dubbo.
A sit around the open fires in the parlour or
kitchen brings back memories of days gone by and the tales of your forebears. Kids, bring your kites, footballs and running shoes – Mum
and Dad pack your picnic and your esky. The atmosphere is relaxed and children are free
to roam. The homestead is built in a tranquil and pretty valley tucked
away from the 21st century. Our guests enjoy strolling
through the house and outbuildings at their leisure; and relaxing
on the front verandah soaking up the atmosphere of 1861. Despite
drought, the vegetable garden survives.
